Rules for the submission and processing of requests

At the Buda Campus, most student requests are submitted through the Neptun system; thus students are also notified via Neptun of decisions taken in connection with these requests. Regardless of how these requests are submitted, as a general rule, within 8 days they are assessed and the student is notified of the relevant decision. The University may suspend the assessment of a request if it is subject to a procedural fee and if the student has not yet paid this fee.

Requests that can be submitted through Neptun:

  • late change to active status
  • late change to passive status
  • late added course
  • late dropped course
  • lighter course load (“reduced timetable request”)
  • application for final exam
  • request to the Dean for leniency (“Dean’s Equity”)
  • subject recognition request
  • request for permission to take a course outside of the programme curriculum
  • regular social scholarship and basic support
  • deferral of tuition fees
  • instalment payment of tuition fees
  • reduction of tuition fees
  • request to add subjects with scheduling conflict

If the request is one that can be submitted via Neptun, but you cannot find the template on Neptun, this means that the deadline to submit it has passed. In this case, the request cannot be submitted on paper either.

Certain types of requests are not available among the templates that can be submitted via Neptun. In these cases, students may submit the request on paper. Paper-based requests may be submitted to the Office of Student Affairs during student office hours. Paper-based requests may also be sent to the Office of Student Affairs by post: Szent István Egyetem Oktatási Igazgatóság Egyetemi Tanulmányi Hivatal Budai Campus Tanulmányi Osztály 1118 Budapest, Villányi út 29-43.
